Saguni vs Billa 2

June 22 is a red letter day as it'll be the battle of Karthi vs Ajith at the box office.

The sudden decision to release Saguni also on June 22 has sent the industry into a tizzy. It's after quite a while that movies of two big heroes are releasing on the same day. Producers usually avoid getting into such clashes as it affects the business of their films but it's interesting to see that this trend has changed.

What prompted the Saguni filmmakers to move their release date from July 6 to June 22 is a big question.
The Karthi-starrer is said to be releasing simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil in over 700 screens. Billa 2 and Saguni are getting censored over the next few days. While the former is a big-budget flick that's a prequel to Ajith's superhit Billa, the Karthi-starrer is said to be a political satire. Incidentally, June 22 is also Ilayathalapathy Vijay's birthday.

'Billa-2' awaits Censors' verdict

Ajith's 'Billa 2 ' seems to be edging closer to a release, it must be said. The high-profile movie, touted to be among Ajith Kumar's biggest, is in the post-production stage now, sources said.

It is said the makers are planning to approach the Censor board on 11 June. Meanwhile, the producers denied speculation that the movie would be released on 29 June and instead said that it might hit screens earlier if the Censors clear 'Billa-2' quickly.

Sources have it that the crew is busy with the film's post production work that is taking place in Mumbai.

Ajith Kumar's forthcoming movie 'Billa 2 ' has created lot of expectations in the film industry and among fans. The film directed by Chakri Toleti and touted to be a prequel to 'Billa' is touted to be a big-budget, high-profile venture for Ajith and has been hit by delays, due to various reasons.

The audio released some time ago has created a buzz and the posters too were rather stunning.Source said that as the production work is nearing completion, the makers are intending to complete the post-production work soon and are apparently targetting a June release.

Maybe it could hit theatres on 22nd  June if things go as per plan. It is also said that the trailer will be launched soon.Even as Ajith's 'Billa-2' is nearing completion, work on his next flick, which will be directed by Vishnuvardhan is also gathering steam and several big names have been roped in already.
